Who we are
Kalos Flow was founded by Axel Ohlsson, a BPMA (British Pump Manufacturers Association)-certified Pump Systems Auditor with years of hands-on experience improving pumping systems in dairies, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, automotive, hospitals, cooling systems, and pools in leisure centres, schools and universities.
Projects have typically delivered energy savings of 35-50%, in some cases much higher — with attractive payback, usually under four years.
We believe an audit should be honest and independent — not a sales pitch in disguise. We take the time to understand your system properly, and recommend what's actually right for it. Sometimes that's a full system upgrade — new pumps, pipework, valves. Often, it's something much simpler: a change in control philosophy, a different setpoint, or even just the position of a valve — small changes that can still deliver significant savings.
Where the name comes from
Kalos is an ancient Greek word meaning good, excellent, or beautifully made: not just adequate, but good in the fullest sense. That's the standard behind our name. We see good work as a calling, a way of serving others and looking after the resources we've been given. So we try to work as though we're answerable to more than the client in front of us: honestly, wholeheartedly, and with nothing hidden. Kalos Flow brings that same care to pumping systems, bringing clarity to equipment most people never get the chance to look at closely.
